Brother – Communications methodology

Overseas markets are huge for Brother and hence they were interested in understanding how better to communicate in the European market. So that they could improve the design of their communications materials both internally and external to the company such as internal presentations and packaging design, brochure, advertising and web design.

To achieve this we created a program of activities over a 2 week period, based at our London office. This started with visiting and interviewing local Brother staff and conducting retail safaris to understand communications in Europe. Then we created a simple 3 step methodology which was applied to the redesign and brochures, product packaging and internal communication documents. A large part of this exercise was about how to structure information concisely so that Brother colleagues and consumers can quickly understand the value of Brothers products and services.
