Brother UI strategy

An ongoing relationship - we have been collaborating with the Brother design centre in Nagoya since we founded. Our work has covered many categories of their business including office / home printers, label printers and sewing machines.

This work has taken many forms including design consulting advice, product concept development, interaction design, market and user research and in-studio collaborations with Brother designers for the duration of development programs.

The UI strategy work started in 2013 and utilises our Masterclass program. Over a period of 3 years we conducted a series of immersive sessions, video calls and follow up sessions to help Brothers internal UI team create a UI strategy that can be applied to all its printing devices. It included design of architecture, type, icons and a final guideline.

This work won the IF design award in 2015.
