LG smart TV interface

We have worked with LGE in Seoul many times, but this was the first time for us to work on a project which was purely on-screen interface design. The goal was to use social network usability trends as a means of guiding users choice of TV programme viewing.

After some broad user research, workshops and contextual research looking at TV viewing habits and current trends in social application usage we developed paper concepts for a smart TV interface and electronic programme guide.

After workshops sessions and concept development the output was a powerful series of 'live' prototypes exploring different ways to interact with the content. The design of the current line of LGE Smart TV's is utilising our thinking.
