LG – Smart TV Interface

We have worked with LG Electronics in Seoul many times, but this was the first on-screen interface design project. The goal was to use social network usability trends as a means of guiding users choice of TV programme viewing.

After some broad user research, workshops and contextual research looking at TV viewing habits and current trends in social application usage, we developed paper concepts for a smart TV interface and electronic programme guide.

After further workshop sessions and concept development the output became a powerful series of ‘live’ prototypes exploring different ways to interact with content. The design of the current line of LGE Smart TV’s is utilising our thinking.
